The Hydro and Wind Company Securing a clean energy future, profitably

I want to move ahead with my wind turbine project – what’s the next step?

The first step in your wind turbine project is to check that your site is suitable for a wind turbine by reading what makes a good wind power site?

If you think your site is viable then you can complete a free Wind Site Self Assessment using our tool here. You will be sent a free report indicating the potential for your wind turbine project and the next steps you need to take in the modular Wind Feasibility Process.

Remember, if you have a good site for a wind turbine but don’t want to risk your own capital to develop it, we can also offer to lease the site from you in return for a percentage of the gross income from the wind turbine – see more details here.

Want to install a wind turbine?

If you are in the UK then take our Wind Site Self-Assessment - Step 1 of our modular Windpower Feasibility Study. It takes about 20 minutes to work through the basic checks to see if your site might be suitable, including:

  • Estimating wind speed
  • Checking proximity of nearby properties
  • Checking site access and approach roads
  • Investigating connection with the grid

If you are in the Republic of Ireland, or overseas, the first step is to consider our modular Windpower Feasibility Study, so please Contact us to discuss your site further.
