New talents join Renewables First staff

New people are joining the team at Renewables First staff team.

As Renewables First has grown, so too has its team of skilled and enthusiastic staff. Over the last few years, several people have joined the company, so here’s a brief introduction. You can find out more about our team at Our Staff.

Carly Taylor

Carly joined Renewables First in September 2013 to begin a 4 year HNC in Mechanical Engineering and works mostly with the hydropower team. Her role is varied and focuses on many aspects of hydropower projects, including feasibility work, design work, as well as on-site, project related work.  She is currently mid-way through her apprenticeship, which will finish in the summer of 2017.

Steffan Waters

Steffan joined the company in March 2015 and his role mainly focuses around feasibility work and detailed design work for hydropower projects throughout the UK. New to the area, Steffan previously worked as a graduate engineer in Birmingham, but moved here to pursue a career in renewable energy.

Callum Flett

Callum joined Renewables First in July 2015 to work with the hydropower team for one year as part of his “Year in Industry”, which is a requirement of his MEng Civil Engineering at the University of Bath. Callum is currently involved with a range of design works for the hydropower team. During his year with us, he will gain experience in many aspects of hydropower design.
