Project Summary:

System Solution:

Thermal energy is removed from the river Frome using an open loop system design, where the river water is pumped into the plant room, passed through a heat exchanger and returned to the river. Two large self-cleaning filter pumps, located in the river, force the water through the heat exchanger circuit. A third pump is also installed as backup should one of the other pumps require maintenance.

Renewables First once again partnered with Cotswold Energy taking responsibility for initial project feasibility assessments and design, installation and commissioning of the thermal collection system.
